🧵 MATERIALS

Use a smooth DK / Light #3 wool or merino-blend yarn, approximately 126 yd / 115 m per 50 g ball, with good definition for stranded colorwork.

Main Color (MC) – Chocolate Brown:

Contrast Color (CC) – Ecru / Cream:

📐 GAUGE

3/2 Rib:
27 sts and 30 rounds = 4″ / 10 cm with larger needles, slightly stretched.

Fair Isle Pattern:
25 sts and 26 rounds = 4″ / 10 cm with larger needles.

✨ FAIR ISLE COLORWORK

The upper section features a striking geometric Fair Isle design worked with two contrasting colors.

The Fair Isle repeat is 36 stitches wide × 24 rows high.

For extra convenience, this PDF includes both charted AND fully written colorwork instructions. Each written row tells you exactly how many stitches to work in the Main Color and Contrast Color.

Instructions are provided separately for:

👚 CONSTRUCTION

The body is worked in one piece in the round up to the armholes, reducing the amount of seaming required.

At the armholes, the work is divided and the Front and Back are completed separately.

The Front includes detailed instructions for simultaneous armhole and scoop-neck shaping. The long sleeves are worked separately and sewn into the finished body.

Finally, stitches are picked up around the neckline to create the neat 3/2 rib neckband.
