Step 1 (row 1) 1sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1sc in every ch to end, turn.
Step 2 (row 2) Ch1, skip first sc, 1sc in every sc to end, 1sc in ch-1, turn.
Step 3 (row 3) As Step 2.
Step 4 (row 4) Ch1, skip first sc, 1sc in each of next 4sc, *1Rp in sc 2 rows below next sc, 1sc in each of next 5sc; rep from * to end, working last sc in ch-1, turn.
Step 5 (rows 5–7) As Step 2, 3 times.
Step 6 (row 8) Ch1, skip first sc, 1sc in next sc, *1Rp in sc 2 rows below next sc, 1sc in each of next 5sc; rep from * to last 3sc, 1Rp in sc 2 rows below next sc, 1sc in next sc, 1sc in ch-1, turn.
