Chain a multiple of 8 + 6.

Foundation Row 1: Dc in the tenth ch from the hook, *ch 3, skip the next 3 ch, dc in the next ch; repeat from the * across, turn.

Foundation Row 2: Ch 3, skip the 1^st  dc, *[3-dc cl, ch 3, sc, ch 3, 3-dc cl] in the next dc, dc in the next dc; repeat from the * across, ending with [3-dc cl, ch 3, sc, ch 3, 3-dc cl] in the next dc, dc in the 6^th  ch of the turning-ch, turn.

Row 1: Ch 6, *3-dc cl in the next sc, ch 3, dc in the next dc, ch 3; repeat from the * across, ending with 3-dc cl in the next sc, ch 3, dc in the top of the turning-ch-3, turn.

Row 2: Ch 3, sk the first dc, *[3-dc cl, ch 3, sc, ch 3, 3-dc cl] in the next dc, dc in the next dc; repeat from the * across, ending with [3-dc cl, ch 3, sc, ch 3, 3-dc cl] in the next dc, dc in the 3^rd  ch of the turning-ch-6, turn.
